Festival of Lights Nov. 24-Jan. 6
A free, six-week-long holiday extravaganza featuring one of the nation’s largest holiday light collections. 200 animated figures including angels, elves, and Dickens carolers; appearances by Santa Claus, the world’s largest man-made mistletoe, horse-drawn carriage rides, elf tuck-ins, freshly fallen snow, elaborately decorated Christmas trees; and delectable holiday confections at the famous Casey’s Cupcakes. Switch-On Ceremony on Nov. 24 from 4:30-10pm with a fireworks display.

Santa’s Electric Light Parade Dec. 1
Enjoy the twinkling lights from floats, listen to the holiday music from school marching bands and await Santa’s arrival. All entries will be decked out incorporating this year’s parade theme, 25 Years of Christmas Pride.

Train To Santa’s Workshop Dec. 1-3
Ride the train where elves will lead your family in Christmas songs, holiday trivia games, and storytelling. Santa greets the guests as they arrive at the workshop. At the workshop, children will be able to play in the play area and do craft activities. Before boarding the train guests can visit with Mrs. Claus and enjoy refreshments at Mrs. Claus’ Kitchen, see the model railroad layout, write a letter to Santa and shop at the vendor booths and the museum gift shop.

Murrieta’s Festival of Trees & Tree Lighting Dec. 2
Join us for an evening filled with holiday charm. Full size decorated, themed trees will line the park- all of which will be donated to families in need after the event. A performance from Moana, as well as other island dancers, will be taking place, along with seasonal fun, carriage rides and more!

Lexus LaceUp Riverside Reindeer Run Dec. 3
Half Marathon, 10k, 5k and Kids Run. This scenic course will be sprinkled with a flurry of holiday cheer including carolers at the finish line, Santa Claus appearances and the “Santa Mile”– a complete mile filled with holiday music, decorations, and entertainment.

Norco Parade of Lights, Christmas Festival & Breakfast with Santa Dec. 9
Breakfast with Santa starts the day from 9am-11am. Christmas Festival is from 9am-9pm. Pictures with Santa, skating rink, Santa’s Workshop for kids, train rides, petting zoo and pony rides, rock climbing, bungee jumper, live entertainment, food and craft vendors, pet parade and much more! The unique illuminated parade begins at 5pm at Valley View and proceeds east up Sixth Street to the Winter Festival located at the Nellie Weaver Hall grounds in the George Ingalls Equestrian Event Center. Vintage tractors, equestrian groups, wagons, floats, drill teams, marching bands and walking/dancing groups!

International Day of Peace Dec. 16
This annual event is sponsored by the Inland Communities Fellowship of Reconciliation, Riverside Interfaith Council, the interfaith community, and other social justice groups. The 2017 Theme is ”Together for Peace: Respect, Safety, and Dignity for All.” Presenters will discuss the theme and how it’s everyone’s responsibility to work towards a Culture of Peace.
